Last year, I posted an image called Signs Of Life, in which a probe found plant life growing on a rock in an ocean at dawn: quite an optimistic image. This is a bit later in the process. New life is much more advanced, and the manned vessels have arrived to assess it. However, their shape and markings are a little menacing, and their "dirty" engines add to the impression that their arrival might not be all good news... This one relies heavily on two freebies: a Bryce scene called Forest Light from ShareCG, and the recently-posted Wasp fighter from Renderosity freestuff: a much more interesting model than its thumbnail suggests.
