Description

Since this is the 4th or 5th Palm pic I've uploaded lately, I guess I should officially declare this a SERIES!! So--off we go!! This is the Punalu'u Black Sand Beach in Hawaii. These palms separate the small bay from the lagoon. I played around with it (ya think???!!! lol)!!

Love the glow in the palm fronds and the color on the horizon. Very well done. I will have to rethink palm pics when we return to Florida. Dana

I don't know if this says anything good about me or not, but when I looked at this image, I heard the theme to the Wild Palms a rather over-the-top, lurid science fictional soap opera mini-series; I loved that particular tv spectacle, mostly because of Angie Dickinson committing murder in pink rubber gloves. Anyway, enough of that...this image rocks. It's haunting in a way, but also soothing and calming. It's fantastic on every level, and I'm glad to see it. Now if only I get get Ryuichi Sakamoto's music out of my head.

I love this! It's very cool and almost trippy. For some reason it reminds me of the cover to the Eagles' album "Hotel California" but without the hotel. The reddish orangish yellow tones give it a nice visual vibe. It's high-end swanky.

great title, didn't beat around the bush, "Postworked Palms". (Sounds like a Resort for PS filters. "Oh, we stayed at the Postworked Palms. Expensive, but the food's to die,/i> for...") You got the whole idea of "change the tone to bring out a deep quality in something": You've drenched this in purples yet it picks up on the purples that may have been in the sky, or certainly would be by day's end; so it's more an 'inner' portrait than a superimposed one: And the effect is stark & dark & very violet, set against a beautiful violet lower sky; with beautiful light outlines around the trees. Fine filtering, and another exuberant shot from you, bathed in a kind of otherworldly light...
