Wow, this pic must have something to it - I haven't been moved to write a critique for a long time. Hope the below isn't too much! This is a pic I would love to see re-worked 'cause it really is very good but has a couple of things that are not quite there. First off, I love your use of light and color, and the white light on the subject certainly focuses attention on her. But it is so hot that we lose all her texture. A nice effect but it isn't within the style of the rest of the scene, which shows textures even in heavy light. It also creates distracting white spots on her hand and confuses the texture in her hair (see the blue spot by her neck). Consider toning it down and maybe even using a yellow light, which would suggest the same source that is lighting the hatch/panel to the upper right. That would stay within the scene aesthetic while still focusing attention. Someone else noted the grip on the gun needs adjusting,I agree. I cannot resolve her eye-line with where the gun is pointing, it seems she is looking at somewhere else - or rather her right eye seems to follow the gun, but her left eye doesn't and that is the one that my own view is drawn to. Perhaps that is a distortion effect of the wide-angle lens, so maybe consider pulling camera back with a more telephoto lens. I might consider adjusting the angle a bit while doing that, but I can't tell you why - just something about the composition bothers my eye and perhaps it is that the lower right part of frame feels unbalanced. I think it is the light on the wall in the lower right of the picture. One suggestion might be to lower the level of light on the background, and highlight her arm/gun the same way as you did her body, to again focus attention on the very graceful line you have made with her pose. Hope that's not going overboard! Great work!

Very creative scene. Love all the vibrant color in this. Interesting critique from above. To be honest, I didn't mind the bright light you used - the feel of this picture is rather like that of a comic book with extremes of light and dark and bright vivid colors. My only thought was that I wasn't sure where the light source was coming from that would make it be white. In any case, I like her pose - it's really strong. And I like all the details in this. The concept is cool and the glasses are great - nice touch!! As for the gun grip, I think you just needed to move the thumb down a bit more to make it look like she's grasping it a little tighter. But that's more in response to the folks above - I really didn't notice it until it was pointed out. Otherwise, great pic! P.S. Hope they get all the bugs!
