Description

Today was a highlight in my life. :-) I finally got close enough to some Pelicans to get some fairly good shots! (Pathetic huh??) LOL There's a little pond fairly closeby, where a ton of Pelicans have been hanging out. There's really no safe place to stop and get out, as it's near a highway, and the pond in which they are, is lined with private homes. Everytime I drive by them, I think how I'd LOVE to be able to go on that private property to get close enough to them guys to get some good shots! Well, a friend of mine that was with me today, got permission to go ahead! They even said we could even use their picnic table. lol Omg, was I in my glory! Needless to say, I filled my 4 gig card up pretty fast, and it was only 8:30 am! LOL I vow to order another few cards :-) Anyway, no grunge today .. I tried grunging these guys, but it just didn't work out well. So, I left them alone. I hope you all are having a great day and If I dont see you before, I hope you have a great 4th! Parade tomorrow and a day on the lake and picnics and late night fireworks. Biggest day in the year for our family. Thanks for stopping by! I'm the same way, I've found you can't grunge everything, I'm still looking though lol! but I love pelicans being in the country I only see them on a visit to the city waterways, this is a wonderful capture Shari!
