Description

This young grasshopper landed on my keyboard today. I took lots of photos of it, but got the best shots after persuading it to step onto my hand and taking it outdoors. He (or she) was very obliging, and walked around my hand quite slowly and for some time, indeed he showed no inclination to leave so in the end I offered him a nice Buddleia leaf to step onto, so he did... A Gentleman Grasshopper.

You must have a gentle, non-threatening nature Fran. I've had this happen lately with butterflies, but I didn't have a camera handy. This little guy would make a good organic modeling project. Great pics!
