My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

A very decisive and divided decision..so to speak..:) from a personal viewpoint..like the more purist approach better in most cases..

isn't it amazing, I think Shari was just casually introducing "grunge" as a fun way of layering photographs. And all of a sudden people are jumping in and bashing things around, liking & disliking what they got, and getting into big discussions! I assume what Shari wanted, but she did it so it would stay fun. And it is fun! Bill spoke of the "dirty window": Well in that sense, this is truly grunge. (My efforts really weren't grunge btw, I was just blending & calling it grunge & stealing a ride on this train, lol!) This has the semi-dirty feel of grunge; and Chip got it to the tee: an antique feel on antique paper...the shot itself is really fine, btw (would love to see it alone), and your layering created a colony of little creatures and microorganisms. I think this is wholly successful and true to the challenge; and I'd accept it as a fine example.

Wow, you've created quite a grungy discussion with your post. Which is good, discussion is always helpful when deciding a point. While I think you've done well here with this shot, I agree it isn't always workable on all pictures. And I think one has to go for the "less is more" philosophy for a really well grunged shot to work. So, there is my two cents, for whatever it's worth. : )
