Description

November the twenty first of 1981. The three (not so) mighty Nerva-engines roar to live and the reactors are operated to near melting point, the expedition is on its way towards mars. It will reach its destination on the ninth of august of the next year. Not so mighty? Well in space thrust isn't everything, its more about Delta-V. So back on Earth these engines would just burn a (radioactive) hole in the ground but once you are in orbit than the exhaust velocities come into play, and these are about 170% of what we ever could achieve with normal chemical engines.

Great looking rocket. When it get's here I'll be able to use what's left for a HAB extension. ;-)
