Description

This is a companion piece to four other views from the 99th Floor already posted during the last week. Scene looking south to southeast from the top of the Sears Tower. As your eye follows the Lake Michigan shoreline you come to the southern end of the lake and where the State of Illinois bumps into the State of Indiana. The first major city of Indiana...way out there (tiny here) is Gary, Indiana. Geography, isn't it wonderful? It certainly impacts different people in different ways. Thanks for stopping by and all your wonderful support via comments and favorites!!! Do ZOOM...this is a big file. Bill:) P.S. The streaky window problem is back with us in this panorama. Next time I'll have to schedule the window washers the day before my arrival:-)

Awesome, every single one of these, I never knew how flat it was out there--makes me wonder what it looked like back in the day.

You captured a vast expanse of territory in this high altitude panoramic foto, Bill. Is that smog or just natural haze way out in the distance? Or maybe my browser is just playing tricks on me.

Great view of the beautiful and scenic Southside of Chicago.(LOL) My old neighborhood is next to the peninsula (Rainbow Beach Park) on the far end of the lake just before the curve into Indiana.

Very nice shot. There is a bridge over there in the distance which is my adversary, one of these days I am going to go over that bridge without being scared to death. Chicago is huge, and you have gone to heights I can't bring myself to. This isn't a nice shat.... this is a great shot.

Another nice view, further east on down the lake you run into the indiana state dunes park. A pleasant place to spend a day as well.
