I'm a student at Colorado State University studying illustration and graphic design. I am a self-taught modeler. For the moment my modeling is more of a hobby than a career, though hopefully someday soon I will have a job in the field. I model mostly (but not limited to) fantasy and sci-fi models. Enjoy the gallery!BIOEver since I was little I aspired as an artist and can never stop "doodling", either on paper or on a computer. I first started modeling (I use that term very loosely) about 3-4 years ago when our highschool bought Rhinoceros 1.0. To this day, I think I am the only one who ever even opened that black cardboard box.
This website and its wonderful forums have pushed and challenged me to become a better modeler every day. If it wasn't for people like Teyon Alexander (the moderator of the Rhino3D forum) I would never even have come close to where I am today.

Nicely done! I haven't tried the exhaust plume and dust off tricks yet. I think your's turned out well!

The Lens Flare is excellent- I don't know what the circles are called, but they occur in real cameras, due to the shape/size of the Iris- they are often slightly rounded hexagons or octagons, depending on the number of planes in the Iris. Some programs (Imagine for one) exaggerate them, for clarity. Excellent picture, but, the spacecraft looks a little too clean- as if it's straight off the production line. Maybe a little dirt?

The Render is nice and the Terragen world looks good too. The model(I dont know what it called) suits it? Very goo use of PS too.

Brilliant work. Would love to know how you did the little dust cloud, very nice effect. If you have Paint Shop Pro, you can eliminate the small circle lights. I don't think there's much you can do in Photoshop as far as that, I'm not as familiar with that software. I love this, you certainly have a talent!
