Description

"In the years that followed the crash-landing of the passenger freighter on this alien world,the survivors began to explore their new home,the knowledge that they may never be found always in their minds.The planet,it was discovered,offered many surprising comforts...underground geothermal springs capable of supplying power and heat,fresh water from mountain streams,and fertile valleys in which to plant crops.With cautious trepidation,native plants and animals were sampled to ensure their potential as food sources,with one plant being a source of a sticky substance that actually burned for long periods of time and thus became lamp fuel. As time progressed,small settlements arose,with dwellings fashioned from quarried rock and salvaged metal from the liner wreck.Pioneers set out to discover new areas to settle,and villages distinguished by many forms of interplanetary building designs soon dotted the landscape." Figure is Michael 3,with Daryl hair and Scout Outfit with Sky Scout textures from Daz3D(posed in DazStudio).Building model is composed of prims and two shapes from Spacebones,with textures from CGTextures and customized presets.Sky,atmo and lighting are custom.Five radial lights and three spheres in cloud volumetric(for steam) complete the scene.Post in Photoshop involves stars,distant building lights and signature.A bloom filter and frame were added in Photoscape 3.3.Thanks for viewing and any comments you wish to leave!

There's something about this I really like, good concept with the backstory and piece combo. The pov and tilted perspective, and lighting all add to the atmosphere. It's original and I like that about it as well. Nicely done
