The young archaeologist discovered a secret/hidden chamber deep inside a mountain in a very remote part of the globe. While exploring the caverns, he finds a huge chamber with a mysterious, orangish colored light source, allowing him to turn off his flashlight and explore more easily. He follows the trail for a long distance and finds the ruins of what appears to have been some sort of temple. While exploring a part of the ruin, he is befriended by a dragon hatchling. His natural love of all animals is sensed by the hatchling who quickly extends friendship to the archaeologist. The very protective mother has observed the young man from the moment he approaced the ruins. She watches with fascination as the bond of friendship forms between the man and her hatchling. Her protective instincts cause her to strike fear into the man and at the same time prevent his escape. She glides down off the wall and covers him and her darling hatchling in one swift, effortless movement. The archaeologist nearly has a heart attack unti he hears soft and soothing words in his head in a language he understands. 'Fear not, human! Your campassion today has saved you. My little hatchling is very afraid of anything new, so when she wasn't afraid of you, I felt you could be trusted to be near her. Since she has taken a liking to you, I will not consume you this day. In fact, for your purity of heart, I will not only spare your life but I will grant you one wish.
