Description

Portugal. Tomar. This manuelin style window has been often used in portuguese tourist brochures. It is weather stained, but on the side of this wing there is another one that was closed in by a wall when much later they added the renaissance courtyard. It can only be seen looking askew, but it looks brand new. I'll post it next. Don't know who the girl was, but it gives it scale.

Just a window, but what a beautiful one! This one is illustrious in the world as "the" typical manuelin window. But the girl was necessary to show us the scale!!!!!!!!!!
