After a long time to study lots of historical documents about the capital of SouthernSong dynasty LinAn(now in HangZhou) and careful field survey, Chen Minglou has finished painting a part of â??Golden Age Picture of the Southern Songâ??. Now you can see the picture (0.48-meter high, 3.2-meter long) which is not the final painting.
The main contents of the â??Golden Age Picture of the Southern Songâ??: In 1136 A.D. the emperor Zhao Gou of the Southern Dynastyn bid farewel to Yue Fei, the marshal before he went to war.At the same time his empress , other concubines ,maids of honor ,eunuches in the court went for an outing with the emperor.
Lin'an is the political and economic center of Southern Song Dynasty. The scope of the painting : Qiantang River, Salt Bridge River connecting canal, shipping, Outer city wall, Inner city wall, Attic, Royal Maying, yard, the famous temples, weird ancient bridge, palace and other buildings, as well as the tile city on both sides of Royal Street, the prosperous silk, gold& silver jewelry trade, and 36 lines workshops living in rich life ".
