Hello.
I've always enjoyed CG art and in November of 2006 I started using Poser. I was hoping that the process would help awaken my sleeping writing muse. Along the way I've discovered Terragen, and found that it is a great tool to create alien landscapes. I've dabbled with Bryce, and enjoy using Apophysis. I'm still trying to learn to use Hexagon.Â
I am a big fan of science fiction. As a result, the majority of my work here has been in that genre. I hope that you enjoy it.

Cool sci-fi scene and narrative Brent, you've done a great job combining those renders! Glad to see you posting again.

A kind of serenity and attraction for me. Good work on textures.

Excellent Alien Vista, great job!

Nice composition and I like the landscape. I don't know much about PhotoImpact Pro so I don't know if you can do this or not with that software but a good tip for making planets look realistic in the sky is to render them separately and then put them on an "additive" layer over the top of the rest of the image with a bit of transparency so that they blend with the atmosphere. When that is combined with side lighting for a phase effect it makes them look more distant and celestial.

Excellent work!

Love it pretty cool Alien Art-chitecture ;-)

Great use of the UnEarth Towers Bear. I like how the mountains use the same type of materials as the towers, gives the towers that organic feel, if you know what I mean. I'm not that crazy about the planet and its placement though, it seems to throw off the composition. I like DMFW's idea of a transparancy ajustment. A huge amount of light coming from behind the mountains in one area would rock too! Anyway, just my spin on things! Cool stuff bud!
