Hi Friends, Thand you all for viewing and for your comments on all of my work. This collage was an experiment in Photography. I knew the Canon Rebel Digital camera could take excellent pictures in low lighting with no flash but I wanted to see how dark it could be and still take a photo. I was in Alabama with my Sister and Brother in law and we were having some very intense storms. The lightning show on the 4th of July was better than the Fireworks. When the same conditions set themselves up again on July the 5th I could not resist trying to see what I could capture. All three of these pictures were taken at night about 10pm Central time. The only lighting was a street light and natures spectacular display. Although each time I pressed the shutter button, the shutter would stay open 20-75 seconds. Each time I would hold as steady as possible until the shutter closed (I did not think about the tripod, I was changing directions so much) I never expected to capture anything and most of the time I did not. But the few shots I did get were spectacular. This is just 3 of the shots I got and I hope you enjoy them. This particular lightning strike is a "cloud to cloud" strike and never touched ground, it jus reached out it's fingers all across the sky above us. Several other strike did and we were lucky they were far off as we did not have the sense to go inside until the rain started, LOL.
