Description

After reading thru and following a tutorial on creating waves using Bryce, I decided to try a render with them. Believe me, getting all of the terrains lined up, matched and connected to each other is nerve-wrecking, but when it finally all comes together, the results are well worth the trouble. I've used jedswindell's 'Ketch' and chris34's sail boats in the render. Both can be found in the Bryce Free Stuff, here at RR. After applying a desired water mat to the terrains, I duplicated the entire wave terrain and moved it slightly from the original and applied the Ocean Foam mat from the Atmospherics section. You have to tweak that mat considerably to get the desired effect. A front & side wave effect was created for the bow of the Ketch using another terrain. I'm very pleased with the result I was trying to achieve. Thanks for viewing and for any comments you care to leave. They are much appreciated. Fantastic work. I love the waves. Very realistic and effective. Also that red sailboat against your atmosphere is great.
