This is art of top quality! The whole image is superb. In many ways, it reminds me of work by a couple of contemporary artists, especially the Polish Surrealists. I love the complexity of this image, the almost forbidding darkness of it (in terms of mood, at least) and its deft avoidance of darkness for the sake of nothing in particular. This is supremely fascinating. Gorgeous too!
