beedn working on soem variosu dark elf weapons ;)
my take on such a device, but totally different to usual idea of how they work.
* side magazine with 3 shots
* bow and barrel inline, fires through the bow
(crossbows very rarely have barrels, there is a form that does by the way)
* Puller-claw to help cock the bow
* Design doesn't have the handle at 90 degrees, thus making it easier tocarry!
* small solid bolts but hey, it's the poison that does the job ;)
Rhino 4, rendered in Vue 7 infinite :)

the Chinese had a repeating crossbow with many of the same innovations, but it had a vertical magazine (dropped down from above). Should be some stuff on the Web if you're interested...;) great modeling.
