still one of my favorites! while driving to an airshow, one came over my head about 100 ft up, cranking the wings into landing configuration... sounded like a dozen dumptrucks going overhead! but a sweet brute of a plane!!

The best of the best! I still think the Tomcat beats any other jet fighter to see service. I hope they take proper care of this one. Too many retired birds get impaled on concrete pillars and are then left to rot.

It's an IMPRESSIVE gateguard! That's for sure! always a downside with gateguards, will U.K. ones anyway! Weather! It's CRAP here and they rot away..... This does look like its covered in some coating but that is surly all for the good!?? These planes NEED to be protected and preserved! Rob. P.S. Hi Rog! Cheers for vid clip! Sorry been rushed (Airshows (Legends, Waddington etc) just haven't had time to watch yet! will do though. Packet on way.... Rob.

I like the way it is mounted. Slight angle, wings fully folded - it looks fast. I also like it from the front with the slight kink in the wing, sort of like the Corsair. The Tomcat was always one of my favorites despite the fact the Navy flew it lol!

Sweet shot for sure. It does look in great shape but lets not forget the Florida is the target of many hurricanes. Go Navy! Dana
