Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Spectacular image Marilyn! You caught the sun perfectly in the water! I have to put Hawaii on my list of "have to see" places! :)

Lovely capture; the light in the water is marvelous. Probably someone's illegal pot farm or still back there, eh?

A still, a meth operation, a terrorist training camp...omg, don't even want to contemplate any more alternatives:-) Pretty artistic signs! Neat capture.

I find it difficult to believe that between you and Errol, nobody went past those signs to see what was there!

During one of my trips to Waipio Valley, I did hear a gunshot sound. But this day was good and you found the pot of gold in the water. Aloha

This is a perfect example of just enough sunlight hitting the water. Very well seen and caught. Dana

I love the spotlit sunlight here! There's definitely a dramatic sense here...the way the shadows crowd in and converge on a single spot of light. I love the muted colors and the restful mood. I love how you go from active and jiggly waves to calm and sensual lushness.

boy I might as well just say, "ditto chip!" No point in adding anything, along with tara and andrea and other comments. Your light is 'muted' as chip says, a kind of patina over everything, and it makes this all feel like a dream...and maybe you & errol are the types who would walk past that sign fearlessly, but me? As they say in Jersey, fuggeddabbouddit. I'll stay on the trail or boat or whatever. Fine mysterious shot, Marilyn. And more of the mysticism and revelation from your trip which you still give us even now. I'll be sorry when the last post arrives!

I just love the shot!!!! The signs add an ominous feel to it, with a hint of danger, for what may lie beyond! You didn't hear any banjo music while there did you???
