Description

I saw an image on a billboard that I kind of liked of a forest seen through a stone arch. I decided to try and make a similar work. It didn’t take me long to have a forest view through an arch, but I thought it was kind of boring so I added water to make it look like the viewer was looking out of some sort of cistern. That’s when the idea of reflection factored in. I added the second archway and then the girls (reusing a model from an earlier piece I did, called ‘Wierdbeach’.) Even though the wind direction doesn’t make any sense, I like the way the light hit each of the figures differently, so, even though it’s technically not a reflection in the mirror image sense, it still hints at symmetry.
