This to help you reflect back on a moment less hectic. These are our seagulls up here. They were interested in my french fries. I had fun getting them to snag them in mid air. Other people around me joined in. You have friends here and we all care very much about you. I will remember your mom in my prayers. Take a deep breath and exhale slowly. Stellar composition of the always hungry seagulls, as they fly gracefully past your lens, Cheri! I like feeding the gulls, just as long as I'm not around after they've digested the food.

I agree a bit with goodoleboy, like almost all if not all birds, the gulls have a terrific capacity to lighten the load before take off. They are perhaps the most gluttonous of all of the animal kingdom, and will pretty much eat anything. As much of a pain as they can be at times, they are still a joy to watch fly, gliding as though weightless through the air. I've mentioned before that Cheri's camera is great for taking still shots, push the button, wait a few seconds and voila! In order to grab anything moving is almost pure luck, or great timing and anticipation of where the subject might end up. She's taken so many great shots of things not being still, that I'm thinking to maybe rule out luck. Nice grab baby, and what a lovely dedication to such a special person. I love how you've made so many new and wonderful friends here!!

Seagulls are incredibly graceful and bold critters! You've done incredible justice to them here, and I love the composition, the way you've followed them, capturing bits and pieces of the surrounding, putting motion and form into a grounded context. Great work.
