I like the darkness...add some rain and you will be running through (almost) Bree in LOTR :-)

Great scene - for a realistic scene it might be darker but I think its a good compromise. An idea would be to add some hanging lanterns outside one or tow of the business or homes to provide light at the street level on the corners.

This is an excellent scene in daylight or night time. Well done.

as there is no light in the street it isn`t too dark at all. looks perfect. a scene with rain would be indeed interesting.

It is dark... but that's to be expected, isn't it night time after all? :o) There's a realism and sense of anticipation to this scene, as if someone is going to open a door or window and more light is going to spill out into the street. I like it as it is, very much.

i actually like this better than the daylit scene. don't change a thing! i think it has an excellent sense of drama, and the dusky blue makes the sky less prominent than the yellow light from the buildings, where the white sky was the brightest aspect of the other image.

No, it isn't too dark. If anything, in terms of realism, it is too light. I think, though, for viewing purposes it is just right.

I agree with other commenters here - this looks great on my LCD monitors. I'd be tempted to try a lamp in the street, with the flame itself quite bright so you are seeing the actual source of the light even though it shouldn't cast too much illumination - this could make a nice focal point and contrast to the scene, hopefully giving the scene the appearance of being darker than it is - hope this makes sense! 5++
