Le pique nique républicain
Le 14 juillet dans le Parc du Château de Versailles, près du Grand Canal, à partir de 11h30
A lâ??occasion du 14 juillet, le Château de Versailles accueillera le public pour un grand rassemblement populaire et républicain, autour dâ??un pique-nique organisé sur les rives du Grand Canal. Fort du succès remporté lâ??an passé, le Déjeuner sur lâ??herbe a rassemblé près de 8.000 convives lâ??an passé, ce qui nous incite à en faire un rendez-vous annuel à cette date symbolique. Autour dâ??une consigne vestimentaire simple (le blanc), le public sera accueilli dans le Grand Parc du château près du char dâ??Apollon, pour sâ??installer autour du Grand Canal.
Nombreuses animations sur place : des fanfares déambuleront de part et dâ??autres des rives du Grand Canal pour faire résonner un air de grande fête populaire à cet évènement, un grand bal sera organisé pour faire danser (musettes, salsa et bossa) les participants de lâ??apéritif au goûter ; cocardes, chocolats, spéculos et autres gourmandises, seront distribués aux visiteurs.

What amazes me, and I think only fellow photographers would notice this, is the perfect balance of exposure between the sky, clouds, and the grass and people in the foreground. Had I attempted this shot, I think I would have only been able to with 3 shots and conversion to HDR. This is an example of a perfect exposure if ever I have seen one!
