Description
I wasn't going to post this because it is not really that good but MrsLubner commented on my last post about missing being around the shrimpers.
The Nephi has her nets out and is chugging along slowly. You can see the diesel is straining by its exhaust coming from the stack. Two crewmen are sorting out the last haul by size and culling any unwanted critters. Modern shrimp nets have an escape door that allows entrapped sea turtles to free themselves and not drown.
I had the pleasure of eating some of the Nephi's catch when she returned to dock that evening.
Too much post work on this one just to make it viewable. Thanks for past comments.

This is really a good shot. It is very real and very much what its all about. My father-in-law used to make the slip rings for those turtle escapes. Sold them to the locals. He was a shrimper for 40 years. Hard life but I have to say, most shrimpers I know wouldn't give it up for anything in the world. I loved being a part of that. The fresh fish, crabs and shrimp coming in each day. Thank you so much for this. It strikes so deep in my heart.

Mmmmm! I can taste them! I had some last night, but they were the frozen variety from Sainsbury's! ;-)
