Description

This is one component of a prospecting vehicle land-train for exploring Mars' polar regions, to gain access to large surface deposits of frozen carbon dioxide. This, and including water ice, can be used to synthesise a wide range of chemical precursors for making plastics, methane fuel and liquid oxygen, fabrics, and not least, drinking water and breathing air.
