On July 13, 2009, around 6:15pm, an old friend of mine, John Keller, suffered a major heart attack on his way to work. His car went over the median, across three lanes of opposing traffic, finally stopping in a drainage ditch, miraculously not involving any other vehicles. Minutes later, the emt arrived but were unable to revive him. He leaves behind his wife Melissa and their seven year old son, William. My sincere condolences go out to his family and I will keep them in my prayers. John was a very unique individual. He had an influence on me early on in life which I will never forget. So many stories and memories have stemmed from our frienship. It feels like a part of me has been taken away, never to return. Events like these help to point out how precious life is and how we should each appreciate every minute we have and appreciate those who share our lives. Tell them you love them.
