Description

Though I've never had any experiance of sculpting with real clay....I'm now feeling more comfortable sculpting within ZBrush.....So I set myself the task of doing a realistic head using a photo (of myself) for reference.....It's not a perfect likeness...but hey...I'm getting there...^_^. I'm quite pleased with the result so far...but it's been a strange couple of days doing this...I've never been much of a "Mirror Man"..(don't shave much...probably only see myself twice a day when brushing my teeth...Lol)..so it's been really weird staring at myself for hours at a time....I do'nt know why...it's just weird! Comments/Crit welcome. TFV.

You're very talented. And honest..very important. If you can match it to profile shots and perhaprs quarter view,,, you'll have it. Moustashe area a bit small imo

Good job on the sculpting, can you do surface mapping with Z-Brush from the photo? I can understand the strange feeling, can't stand to look in a mirror myself much less stare at my photo, of which there aren't many in existance for that very reason. Peace

Wow, I think you've done a marvellous job of this and the likeness is very real. I guess it is a bit weird staring at yourself for hours but it was worth it.

Thanks for the feedback folks......Much appreciated! Len.....Yes there is a plugin for ZB called "Image plane" but I haven't sussed out how to use it yet. Minty....Yes I also used a profile view for reference.
