" Hey. do you think anyone can see us??" - Mary " No, we are completely alone here" - Bruce " I don't know maybe we should go somewhere with a little more privacy."- Mary " No this group of asparagus is great.. we're fine what are you worried about."- Bruce " There is a lady with a camera!" - Mary ' Honey, don't worry about it" = Bruce " What if she posts them online and my dad sees?" - Mary " Your dad isn't going to see them. He was eating by that bird last week."-Bruce " What!" = Mary " Opps, did I forget to tell you?" _ Bruce Ah, the life of an asparagus beetle. Nice capture. Sorry about the dialog, I couldn't resist.

Awwww!! Leave it to Cheri to fill in dialog before I had the chance,.....crap! This is a really provocative shot, a position I had previously thought belonged more to the canine species.......well, more or less, ahem. I can definitely see where the ownership of an extra pair of limbs would have certain advantages. It also seems that there are several similarities between humans and the insect world. In the photo, the male appears to be rather involved and focused, whilst the female looks to have her thoughts else where, wondering if she fed the aphids, taken the shells out of the dryer, and just wishing he would hurry up, and get off her back!! Cool and interesting capture!! My parents had an asparagus garden, and I remember my dad hating these guys.
