Description

This is a lighter render than the last one which I felt in retrospect was too dark. The skin has been lightened and shadows added around the eyes. A collar and holster have been added to the uniform and Newill kindly supplied me with an accurate Spectrum issue gun. As you can see, our favourite possessed bad guy has taken his anger out on Cary Grant (AKA Captain Scarlet). I still need to sort out the bottom of the vest (which has to be manually posed becuase of what it is, but until someone makes a plain vest of that length and design I'm stuck with it ^^ Once this one is sorted I can try and shape the face a bit more, then try and make Scarlet, Blue and one of the Angels. After THAT I will get down to the Zero X costumes. This is a LOOOOOONG project ^^ Thanks for looking. Iain

I really liked the original Captain Scarlet and I like what they've done with the new CGI series. This is great the uniforms look good.

This looks great too! But the darker one had more of an 'Evil' atmosphere to it? Do you get meaning? But, still VERY cool! Rob.

When you think about it the whole Captain Scarlet concept is so very very dark. Your hero is a clone - the Mysterons copied him after death, but when he fell from the CarView tower the Mysterons lost control. Did they secretly bury his real body? (Remember he died in a car crash with Captain Brown) In fact, do the people who are retrometabolised by the Mysterons get two funerals? One for their original body and one for the copy? And what of Captain Black? He never died on Mars, he just went missing when the Zero X returned to Earth. The change happened INSIDE the MEV - when he became possessed by the Mysterons. He's still Conrad Turner, still human... not like our hero - the CLONE.

Wonderful work on this - the only quibble is when you say ONE of the Angels - you should do all five! (I know, easy for me to say!)
