Okay I know I said I was going to leave this one alone for a while... Well it's been four whole days now!
Changes:
Built a more authentic RMN ship for the background image & re-rendered the background
added a new texture for Honor's skin
changed color of author's name
a bit of subtle post-work
Rendered in 3ds max. Titles in Illustrator and Photoshop. Post in Photoshop.

Very cool. The placement of the title obsures the battle and main explosing though...it sort of looks like a giant ship is crashing into the planet :( I think her expression is rather plain for what's happening in the background.

Wow. great image. It looks just like a book cover ;). scifiguy, if you look at it in pieces, it makes more sense. More like a compulation of various scenes rather than the one scene. Just like a Star Trek novel cover :)

=g= That's our Honor... even with things going to hell, she keeps her cool. I love the focused intensity of her expression.

i like the arrangement of the scenery and the whole layout. the ships also look quiet as described (also i'd like to see some closeups of them and a bit more of that tactical holo-tank - perhabs in another pictures ??? plea g). only two minor details to think about. there could be a bit more of a expression in her face (ie a hint of an evil grin of some kind, or contentedness) and i myself thought of her eyes to look more asian... one last thing: the op-center (both main and backup) are in the core of the ship... so actually you could not watch your fine ships & battle through a panorama-window ;-)
