Daucus carota also called the wild carrot or even Queen Anne's lace grows all over the world. The Mermaid's picture however is not the Wild Carrot but the dangerous Water Hemlock pleeease be careful! But an beautiful image anyway! (deadly though..)

Yes, we have Queen Anne's Lace, which is a relative of the same plant, here in North America. In fact, I have some growing in my flower garden and I love the way it unfolds and flowers out.
