Great shot Sig. I went for a 30 minute flight with a friend of mine flying a float plane years ago...not hard to take off and land...just different. Once you begin a takeoff run, you push forward to get up on the planeing steps of the floats...this breaks the surface tension, pull back and away you go. All landings seemed like short field landings to me...once on the water's surface, you are automatically slowing down quickly.
