Description

Captured in the act of grabbing a sip (or rather, sitting to grab a sip), one of the hummingbirds resident at LaPaz Waterfall Gardens in Costa Rica (which was unfortunately devasted by the nasty earthquake earlier this year). This was a lucky day for me, because I managed to capture *2* hummingbirds on camera (this is the better of the two pictures). Taken March 3, 2006, 12:03 hrs.

Wonderful shot. Not easy to capture them on camera for they move so quickly. This is very familiar scene to me. I have 2 feeders set out; one is hung from my kitchen window pane. I spend hours each day looking at rubythroated hummers drinking nectar from the feeder. They are such a delight to see. Thanks for sharing.
