Description
Today is a day for setting a new goal... for setting a goal that will change how we perceive our world and life. Today we shall make the promise to be kinder and gentler to ourselves. This is an attainable goal and worth setting. Of all the animals on our planet earth, man has the most capacities. We have the capacity to think and reason things out. We have the capacity to speak our thoughts and paint pictures with our words. We have the capacity to feel passion and compassion for others. But sometimes along the way, while helping others, we forget that there is one person who needs our passion and compassion just as much as those who come into our life experience. Sometimes... just sometimes... we tend to forget that those kind and generous acts that we give so freely to others must also be given to ourselves. So today... just for today... let us do a random act of kindness for ourselves. Let us start this day with the truth of our beingness. Let us acknowledge to ourselves that we are wonderful... that we are capable of being all that we are. Before we can be kind to another, we must first be kind to ourselves. Before we can love another, we must first love ourselves. We can reach our goal in many ways. One way is to set boundaries for ourselves. If we are working on something, we can set a boundary for when we will stop and rest. We surely would tell our friends to stop when they are tired. So let us set a boundary for when we will tell ourselves to stop and continue another day or time. Our job in setting this goal is to tell ourselves that we will recognize when we have hit our limit or reached our wall of productivity. It will be at that point that we will consciously recognize that it is time to stop and continue our project another time. As we gradually set boundaries for ourselves, those people in our experience will also recognize our boundaries without a word from us. It is truly amazing how being kinder and gentler to ourselves will change how we perceive our world and ourselves.
Our thought for the day is: 'A dry stick breaks easily. A wet stick bends. What kind of stick are you?' Gayle O
May this day find you full of good cheer... may this day fill you with light and love... may this day bring you happiness... and may this day forever expand your soul.

This is a single flame created in Apophysis 3D Hack 2.08. The seed script for this flame was the spherical loonie foci scripts by parrotdolphin at Deviant Art. There were some tweaks by me. Post work was done in PSP. You can find the script here: http://parrotdolphin.deviantart.com/art/Spherical-Loonie-Foci-Scripts-113107025

your message obviously touched a number of people, and I deeply appreciate it too. Beautifully written, gayle. And as for being a wet stick, there's an old Taoist aphorism about rock & water (maybe you know it): that, while rock is strong, water will always wear it down—therefore be like water. Your visual is like separate forces of the soul working in harmony with each other, and they get increasingly luminous as we move towards the center. (The centers have a beautiful luminous blue-green.) And you have little distant versions of these in the background, like we're seeing one colony close up but there's a big cosmos filled with them way in the distance. And you've done more 'framing' too, with your worlds weaving in & out of the frames; and of course (one of my fav's) your spherical 'version' of it all, by your title. Beautiful words & beautiful image, and the image gives us courage to be more gentle and mindful of ourselves, because it's very peaceful and loving. That's a combination you get often, btw. Again, great luck with your show! And hope you can be good to yourself too, I know how these things intensify as the dates grow near. You'll probably need to call upon your powers more than once! Much light to you, I"m very excited!
