Description

Hi I'm loading this again due to my error. This idea has come from the Ringworld books I read a while ago. It's my attempt in Bryce.

I can see the Daliesque influence in this render of the earth. Haven't read Ringworld so all I know about it is that it was remarkable for its time but now relates more to a historical collection.

Yes it was some time ago I read it, as I remeber an acient race built a ring world which revolved around a sun. (if you look closely it's raining over England ...again...must be Summer!)

I love the image as well as the concept and philosophy of fabriqued worlds as ringworlds or tubeworlds. It remind me a Sc.Fi. book about a civilisation who had lost their world because a novae and the did build a gigantic sphere within which they didlive and build a new society to survive to the lost.
Well done!
Have a nice day,
Grego.

Interesting and well done image. I never read the book, but sounds interesting. There is a video game based somewhat of the sort called Halo.

Mind bending fun ! Can't say I've read Ringworld, but I did read a sci-fi novel, where the planet was hyper-bolic like this world and as you moved away from the center, gravity warped everthing and every body ! Well done & ~Cheers~
