Hi my name is Peter!
I was born November 7 1946 in Victoria Australia. I'm married and have been blessed with five beautiful daughters, I'm also a grandfather to 11 grandchildren. I have work most of my life in the metal industry welding, lathe operating, tool making, and toward the end had a change of career working with trains in the Victorian Railways, I have since retired. My main interests are Oil Painting, Drawing, and I like using programs such as Paintshop Pro which I have used since its conception, Photoshop 7, Bryce 5.5, Poser 6,Terragen,Silkypix. Also Computers have had a strong influence on me in the last 17 years. Also teaching computer skills to the locals in my community kept me busy for some time but being a very small community Iv'e now run out of people to teach. One other hobby of mine is the translation of many different languages into english, it's fun to know what other cultures are saying and also is very useful in Rederosity for giving and returning comments. Most of my time goes into Photography and learning as much as I can about my new camera which is the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 18X Digital Camera. The Genre that I like the most is Macro so that is mostly what you will see in my Gallery.

I was surprised to see how big these were when I first saw them in England. This variety seems to be colored a little differently, but it's a beautiful bird! I've never seen any here in the states. Great shot!

Ah! One of my favourite birds, they eat the big fat grubs that destroy all of my grass. I bet this one was looking for a grub by the look of him.
