Description

This is a variation of my last attempt with working with functions. I never could restrict the displacements the way I wanted, even with distribution shaders. But thanks anyway, John (WeeLaddie). Instead I decided to simply cover the ground with two populations of brush clumps and one fake stones layer. That somewhat hides the irregular formations, or at least distracts the eye from them. The planet in the sky is my own construct using merged terrains. In “space” it resembles Mars. And the clouds? Thought I’d experiment with a voronoi – perlin mixed noise function on a cirrus layer. They’re weird, all right. But then, consider the source. Rendered 1 hour, 23 minutes, 11 seconds as is, no postwork. Thanks for looking in!

The clouds have a MojoWorld feel :-) In fact that goes for the whole landscape. Take it as a compliment!

Many kudos to you Rich, this is looking mighty, mighty fine! I'm glad to see you doing so well. This TG2 makes one who has had a lot of success with TG9 look like a beginner (like me); but, with some perseverance, success will eventually be achieved.
