Description
a small pretty Grass Snake (Natrix natrix), sometimes called the Ringed Snake or Water Snake in my pond lives.

Well, I have to say that while I am not overly fond of snakes, they are very valuable to mankind...and as long as I see them, I enjoy their unique beauty...it is only when they startle me that I jump, LOL. We have a koi pond in our backyard and so have quite a few garter snakes that help keep the frog population down.
