Description

A remake of my old bridge. This time I used a lot of more time, being more precise. I also added some elements, such as water and torches.

ya know whats missing from making this a great moody pic?? lightning, i mean i think the light maby is too plain, try having just small dim orange lightsources from the torches, and use some bumpmapping on the wood/rope/cave, hmm maby some more reflectivity on the water and some ripples (can be made with 1 bumpmap)?

There are ripples in the water. I just got covered by the bridge. Rope is in fact bump-mapped, struggled for hours to make it look good. Lightsources is on the way, just got to borrow a new computer that will be able to render it. (My motherboard is kinda busted :/ )

Try to apply a little randomness in the wood and rope. It looks like you did a copy and paste. Make some of the posts at various angles, broken, rotten etc. Same with the rope and beams

Lighting could really turn this image around. Tibbe has some great ideas. Shadows would help big time.
