Description

Aces & Eights (for Mike, Richard & Linda) There's no doubt I'm still sparked by visions of the Old West. And what better products to set this off than that of Mike(Mapps), Richard(Richardphotos, and Linda(LmWolfSpirit) WILD BILL HICKOK, aka James Butler (Wild Bill) Hickok, was shot through the back of his head while playing poker on August 5, 1876 Wednesday about 3 o'clock by John Mc Call who was advenging his brother's death. This occured in the #10 Sallon of Nuttall and Mann in Deadwood, South Dakota It is said Wild Bill was holding what later was to be known as the "Dead Man's Hand". The "Dead Man's Hand" is now concidered a two-pair poker hand of aces and eights of both the black suits. Very good Dennis. Excellent scene. I grew up in Wyoming and believe it or not, this was still a scene when I was a kid. Not with the guns, but with the cowboys playing poker, smoking, drinking, and cussing up a storm. Funny how the old cusses would tell the others to shut up when they saw me since there was "a lady in the room". :o)
