Description
The question to decide is, is this a fractal? The image is taken from a piece of tree bark. Although the most obvious natural fractals often have symmetry, such as a sunflower or spiral broccoli, what about hoarfrost? My biggest decision here (except how to PP the bark) was to post this in fractals or photography. The similarity to the Talis var 1 images decided it for me.
Thanks for looking and listening to me ramble.

I've decided. Digital birch bark with fractal lichens. I love it.

Michael Barnsley has written a book in the early nineties: "Fractals Everywhere". So why not on a tree bark? Have a look on the texture on my upload of today, you see a striking resemblence. It's a nice piece of modern art. BTW, images as yours can be applied in UF5 in several ways, giving remarkable effects.
