Description
I had the most amazing day today soaking in the essence of my country and the continent of Africa!!! I was so close to the lioness on the image, that I could smell her breath... I stared into her gorgeous eyes and strangely it was not intimidating... She had three cubs and her lack of aggression surprised me. Maybe she could feel that I meant her no harm - only admiration! It was pure magic and I hope to share some of that with you in the days to come!

Such serenity and self confidence in this magnificent shot of the magnificent beast and her offspring, Carin! But what's with the white beard? Now if I was to humbly approach her to take a similar foto, she would probably take umbrage and have my head and camera for lunch.
