Description

The famous Routemaster fleet, designed and built for London Transport. Planned in the 1950s, built in the 60s, these vehicles remained a part of the London streetscape well into the new millennium. Not bad for a bus whose retirement was originally forecast for the mid 70s! This one was being used to transport a wedding party. Thank you for looking, as always any comments or suggestions welcome 8~) ** BEST VIEWED FULLSIZE ** thumb_1921279.jpg

Ah the old AEC Routemaster, I used to love these buses, they took them off the road for the mamby pamby health and safety issues, interestingly, they are about to be re-introduced as a modern single decker, as we are phasing out the bendy buses, these death traps I have no argument with removing :)...The Routemaster still runs on route 15 as a tourist special, and you can now call me an anorak again mate LOL!
