Description

Another one of my attempts to try and preserve images of what will be the lost culture of th eEast Village in NYC. As I said in another image I posted: "One day, there will be nothing left of the East Village in NYC. All that will be is a continuous series of Condos, Starbucks, Duane Reades, Banks, and Chipotles following one another." And so I present another time capsule snippet of what will come to past. From my series of nighttime photos, I hope you enjoy this. Thanks for viewing.

Well, that's the one good thing about the economy... These weasel landlords are being forced to lower their rents, so that will buy time for interesting businesses to flourish down there... Great shot... Someone should do a series of pictures of all the lampost sculptures like this down there.. This is a great nightime shot... I guess there must have been good lighting coming from the stores?? There's an unusual brightness...
