Description

We have had the most abundant cherry crop I've seen in 30 years or more. Every kind of cherry tree is drooping to the ground under it's burden. Cherry pie is a celebration!

Oh goody, ripe sour cherries and there's pies to be made. When I was a kid, my brother and I used to pick these from my grandfather's huge sour cherry tree and go 'round the neighborhood selling them for 10 cents a quart. And can you believe some of the people thought that too high a price. Long gone, now....the tree, my grandfather and sadly, my brother, too. Great memories, tho. Thanks for sharing this.
