Description

BLUE SPRINGS Arkansas Blue Springs at maximum flow 38,000,000 gallons of water every 24 hours. Although local recharge is the norm with all springs, it is thought that some of the water from Blue Springs originates in the Pacific NW. The springs maintains a temperature of 54degrees year around, and the pool is 70 feet in diameter at the surface. The actual opening of the spring, 25feet below the surface of the pool is about 10 feet across. Blue Springs is shaped like a big funnel and at the sounded depth of 510 feet, the estimated width of the rock fissure is 21/4 feet.

This is a very pretty shot, and a pretty place too. I thought this looked familiar when I first saw the shot, and it finally soaked in -- I shot a wedding there a couple of years ago!
