End of your rope
Nothing left to give
What you needed
Was compassion
Longing
For the shoulder
That has always
Been there for you
You called
Only to discover
I was hanging
By my own thread
Already in tears
With no reserves
I heard your voice
And hoped for solace
Today
I can give you
What you need
With open arms
Tomorrow
You will be there
When I need
Your strength
There are days
When we are both strong
And on those days
We dance

And you say I have a way with words! You express so much with so little, the simplicity leaving the reader in no doubt of the meaning. I am sure that, like any good writing, its a personal experience, but you manage to create a relevance for everyone... Now that's an art! I think in our relationships no matter what type they be , we all experience those times. Some days are just more frustrating then others. On those days you usually feel you stand alone. Awesome work!

as a friend once said, "truth abounds"...it's all in the 'overall', isn't it...today someone can't listen, tomorrow you can't listen, but in the overall, the energy is two ways. 4 of your stanzas begin with 1 or 2 words, and they draw us in like a tap on the shoulder. It's so nicely paced, given in small gestures; and each stanza speaks of a whole world of interaction. And your last stanza is beautiful. A beautiful work, tara. And spoken in gentle offerings...
