Description

Hi there. This is a small Hoverfly, about 12-15mm. They are so trustingly this summer - you could hold your finger to them and they will climb up on it and let you study and shot them. This one rested on a Calystegia-leaf and let me try to get close and closer. On the cam, if I checked the first the shot I was astonished on the close-up look of the eyes. On the PC the eyes knocked me out totally. Hope you enjoy and love her look too. Don't forget to zoom in, you will miss something special... Many thanks on all the comments and ratings - through my vacations it will be not possible to comment all your great artwork, I'm very sorry about.

Wonderful sharp detail- one suggestion though-- posting at this large of a size requires scrolling back and forth up and down, and one looses a sense of the composition. I am even running at 1600x1200 which is probably higher than most on here, and still have to scroll. When I look at the IE window at 50% its beautiful, the entire composition can be viewed all at once. Just a suggestion, of course- maybe shrink these down to 1000 across?

OK, I give up. I am totally confused by the Exif info, lol. You definitely know something I don't or have some equipment I don't. Either way I am dying to find out how you do this. BTW, I love the detail this size image can show but I have to agree with idehaven about the problem of getting it all on the screen. I used to post some images at such sizes but (over time) enough people suggested I downsize them a bit that I decided that was probably a good thing to do. Great detail. Lee
