Description

I had been watching this guy in my garden for the past 3 weeks hoping to see him create a cocoon and then hatch into a moth. the huge rainstorm last night must have washed him from the plant because I can't find him today. I guess my nature lesson was cut short. :( he was about two inches long and he is facing right in all these photos. PS: I named him jeorge :) tubes by craftman, postwork done in gimp thanks for any comments and for past comments and favorites, too.

A fine group of shots. You may want to check the nearby plants. They usually leave their host plant when it is time to go into the change to an adult.Or else it may have become a morsel for a passing bird.

Awesome montage. My daughter would love this. She has a fixation on caterpillars. Sorry to hear he was washed away. Maybe he'll come back! As a pretty butterfly!
